I recently had the opportunity to review the latest version of the Dynam P-47 Thunderbolt. It;s pretty nice.

This most recent version has a couple of upgrades from the original including the flap servo and hardware installed and a couple of scale effects that make it a bit more realistic. I also installed the Detrum Istone All stabilizer along with a a Detrum 8 channel receiver to use with the Detrum Blitz DT 9 transmitter I've been reviewing.

The model went together easily and looks great on the flight line.  I did find a couple of things you'll want to be aware of.

First, the recommended battery was a 4 cell 2200 mAh. While that powered the plane, it was more than a bit tail heavy.  Changing up the battery to a 2700 or even 3300 mAh battery provided both needed nose weight along with more flying time.

Additionally, the large drop tank tended to make the plane yaw and roll left with applying power both on take off and during flight. It also provided only about one half inch of ground clearance while adding a bunch of drag.  After the first flight, I detached the tank and the plane behaved much better.

Here's the assembly video and the flight video for the Dynam P-47. It's certainly worth your consideration!
